Power 90 is the lesser alternative to P90X. It is less intense and
less expensive. If you’re a baller on a budget, Power 90 may be the
best option to get that exercise routine something that will make a
difference. You have everything you need to burn fat and lose weight
with these DVD’s. The nutrition plan isn’t a diet but more of an idea
creator to help make eating healthy and an easier transition rather than a
law book making fitness a chore. The idea is to alternate between
strength and cardio days. This is totally up to you.

If P90X looks too tough to do, try the Power 90 series. This gives you
what you need in order to lose weight. It is the basics of the basic
in fitness training. It’s cheaper but it also delivers. Finding your
own pace in a workout routine can be tough depending on the person but
Power 90 gives a lot of ideas to modify exercise routines whether it
be the edge of the couch to do pushups and that sort of thing. This
program is the motivational poster to help finding a fitter routine.

The first step is because it’s the easiest stepping-stone to the P90X
program. P90X will get you ripped but that isn’t the aim of Power 90.
This program is designed to give you a good fundamental core in your
own exercise routine. You will get results if you stick with it. There
are small bursts within the discs that take some practice to get but
once you’ve mastered this workout series, P90X will be a good place to
take things to the next level.

Drugs are a menace to our society. Almost everybody who has himself suffered from this problem or somebody near and dear to him has suffered from this menace knows quite well that drug addiction is one problem that can potentially destroy the entire lives of the people. The recovery from drug addiction can really take a long time and in many cases it requires more than just a treatment. The first thing that really needs to be taken into consideration is that the drug treatment is not like any other treatment. This treatment really needs to be carried out in the most professional as well as a caring manner.

The first thing that the patient seeking drug treatment needs to focus on is to choose the right drug treatment centre. In majority of the cases of the patients suffering from drug problems there is also an associated mental health problem. Thus the patient as well as his family members needs to make sure that the drug treatment rehab that they are choosing is well equipped with all the facilities that are needed to tackle this problem. The drug treatment facility should have the requisite number of professionals as well as the medical experts who are well qualified to carry out the treatment of the patient.

There are quite a few drug treatment centers that have the latest facilities as well as the adequate number of professionals who are well equipped to handle this problem. Majority of these centers also take care that once the patient is treated, there is no relapse. Another aspect of the drug treatment is that the family members of the patient suffering from drug problem also need to be counseled properly and adequately so that they can help the patient in fighting this problem.

Drug rehabilitation is one of the greatest help to the society as through this process the people who are suffering from the evils of drug addiction can return back to their normal life. Thus when a person is addicted to drugs he may anytime need to have the help of drug rehabilitation center. Moreover, the treatments of a good rehabilitation center like Cliffside Malibu include both physical and psychological treatment. This is very much needful when you need to have a complete cure out of your drug addiction. In case if a drug addict is just given the physical treatment of his drug addiction and is not give the support of psychological treatment along with it then the result may be that the person may again return to his addiction even after completing his course of treatment. This is because of the fact that the reasons for his addiction remain the same. And a person in such a situation can get back to his addiction to the same drug or the other with the slightest provocation. For these reasons the complete treatment of this drug addiction is very much needful. And complete cure to drug addiction is only possible when the person is given total treatment both physical as well as psychological.

And for these reasons Cliffside Malibu offers their patients both physical and psychological treatment. Not only that here is also given proper importance to specific drug treatment. This is needful because patients having different drug problems may need separate methods of treatment and therefore a patient suffering from illegal drug addiction should be treated separately from a person having prescription drug addiction. Similar is the case of opiate addiction. Therefore, all of these people with separate drug addiction problems need to be treated separately under specific drug rehab program.

Other than that there are also another advantage of Cliffside Malibu as here the treatment is given considering the individual circumstances of the patients in mind. And as every individual do have their own circumstances and cause for their addiction therefore this is of a great help for the patients. The well trained stuffs and expert doctors are always ready to attend the patients whenever there is an emergency. And above all the location of the rehab center and the beautiful natural surrounding with lots of comforts and facilities for the patients makes it much easier for them to get rid of their drug addiction. The patients do not feel themselves to be at a rehab center or a hospital here. Rather the feeling of the stay at this place is like spending a vacation from the daily busy schedule of life. These are some of the specific features that helps the patients of Cliffside Malibu to feel more relaxed and enjoy their stay here.

It can easily be said that these are the ideals features that a perfect drug rehab center should have and therefore Cliffside Malibu is considered to be one of the best drug rehab centers.

A large number of drug addicts are employed today and they are more vulnerable to accidents at workplace. According to Texas Business Today (2006), nearly 64% of all accidents were directly or indirectly related to drug abuse at workplace. Drug abuse at workplace is a serious issue. It impairs an employee’s judgment and coordination, which leads to increased risk of accidents, and reduced productivity.
Awareness programs and drug testing help in avoiding drug abuse at workplace. Increased awareness is key to drug free environment, which makes employees understand the magnitude of destruction caused due to drug abuse at workplace. Periodic drug abuse testing increases awareness levels. Drug tests detect the drug abusers and filters them from others employees. They also discourage and deter employees from drug abuse.
Awareness:

Employers should stick to the fact that drug abuse affects performance at work.

Explain the dangers of drug abuse at workplace to employees, even if they are not abusers.

Create a drug free workplace policy and explain it to employees.

Be supportive and try to resolve performance and personal problems by offering help.

Impose penalties on employees for violating drug free workplace policy.

Coworkers are the first to notice problems. Encourage the employees to notify the drug abuse at work place to supervisors. Explain them that everybody is at risk because of others’ negligent actions.

Drug Testing:

The following types of drug tests can be performed on the employees to check drug abuse at workplace.

Pre Employment Drug Testing: This test is used on job applicants. It prevents drug abusers from entering into the company.

Post Accident Drug Testing: This test is implemented on an employee after an accident. It checks whether the employee was under the influence of drugs or not, at the time of accident. This test removes drug abusers from the workplace.

Random Drug Testing: In this test, one or more employees are selected through a random process to take drug test. These tests discourage and deter employees from drug abuse.

Reasonable Suspicion Drug Testing: This test is conducted when an employee is suspected to be under the influence of drugs at workplace. They consistently provide positive results and enable employers to identify the drug addicts.

An employer cannot afford to ignore the employee’s poor performance due to drug abuse. It is important for an employer to test drug abuse at workplace consistently and conduct awareness programs to improve the productivity levels.

Prescription Drug Abuse Among Teenagers
It was found at one of the most frequent causes of drug abuse, particularly in adolescence. The term “abuse of prescription drugs,” is clearly defined as a state in which, prescription drugs are not used in a way the doctor recommends the patient. Meaning, the person taking higher doses of the drug and even though his illness is cured. Drugs that are common in such cases include all types of pain relievers, drugs for anxiety or sleep disorders, and drugs for the outbreak of stimulating activities. It was found that most teenagers use these drugs with a thought that they are safer than using illicit drugs.

Absence of Communication
A powerful causes of alcohol and drug abuse among adolescents is an area that fits in the statement, probably on the side of parents. Most teenagers can have this idea that their parents can not care to abuse drugs. So this highlights the importance of communication between parents and children. It is likely that, knowing the specific hazards and health concerns of drug abuse, is to help teens avoid the habit. So work with your children and seek real information in the form of statistics and medical explanation about the side effects of drug abuse.

Supervision
Continuing this data on drug abuse among teenagers, it comes to parental supervision which can either save teenagers from getting into the grips of drug abuse or saving them from it. Parents must give importance to the fact that their children are still in their teens. This happens to be an age, where they stay the most vulnerable to get involved in all the undesirable things in their lives. Get involved in your kids’ life and let them know that you are interested in what they do and when they do. If you are one of those parents who just let their kids do whatever they please, then you may be providing your children with a fine opportunity to get exposed to drugs. It is most likely that your kids might not appreciate the fact that you are trying to interfere too much in their lives. However, it is also true that, if you do so, your kids would be the ones to thank you later in their lives, when they achieve a matured level of understanding about all the repercussions of drug abuse. So don’t be too stringent about nor too aloof from your kids’ life.

Easily Available
The fact remains that teenagers get to learn most of the things from their parents. As a parent, if you are throwing a party where alcohol is served, then your kids would take it as a clear cue or message, that you have no objection to drinking alcohol. This is where, you stand to be the main offender for encouraging your kids to get vulnerable for drug abuse. Also, most parents unknowingly let their kids have access to alcohol, cigarettes, and even prescription medications, when they are not at home. Even in this way, teenagers may used this carelessness of their parents as an opportunity to at least try using all such stuffs.

Stress Causing Factors
Broken relationships, issues in the family, stress caused due to peer pressure, studies load, etc., are some of the common factors which trigger stress in teenagers’ life. These may also be the causes which drive them to resort to the use of drugs.

If you aspire or desire to use again and again a drug, then it does not matter if the substance behind that drug is legal or illegal, what you need is a substance abuse rehabilitation. This means that you have a substance abuse problem, so you should take it seriously and get immediate treatment in a rehab clinic and as long as is necessary because it takes time and strength. There are several ways you can get a substance abuse rehabilitation: rehabilitation clinics, home sober, health centers, local support groups etc. Your body is affected by this drug at two levels: physical and psychological.

If you do not check into rehab to recover from this addiction once you have admitted to have one, this addiction tends to become chronic. This means that you can fall again and again into the abyss and finally you might never return. This can occur even after a long and effective treatment. During the rehabilitation program not only will you take medication, what you’re supposed to do is learn to live with your disease at your best. Thus, you may not lose the competition against your temptation and lose your rehabilitation addiction.
Drug Addiction Rehab Treatment

The treatment is focused on two phases: that of physical healing through detoxification or withdrawal therapy and a psychological support which prevents relapse. The approach of the professionals depends on the substance which provoked the addiction and the particular side effects. Pharmacotherapies proved to be very efficient in drug addiction rehab for at least three purposes: the effective treatment of rehabilitation, the maintenance (usually used for a longer time) and the interruption of the physical as well as psychological dependence.

There are three ways of approaching a medical treatment during a drug addiction rehab connected to the symptoms of the patients and the side effects (on the Central Nervous System-CNS, and not only):
- CNS depressants – minor to severe side effects, affecting blood pressure, heart rate, body temperature, and even threatening life;
- CNS stimulants – depression, suicidal thoughts, paranoia, psychosis;
- Opioids – minor to severe side effects (rapid pulse, high blood pressure, pains, tremors, vomiting, diarrhea etc); a most recently approved drug in U.S. that cures heroine addiction is buprenorphine (a milder opioid).

The detoxification is both completed and followed by the psychological treatment which is also an important stage of drug addiction rehab. It means counseling, therapy sessions accomplished through individual, group or family meetings.

Possession of illegal drugs is a very serious offense in every state. Laws punishing those drug offenses are all derived from federal laws that can cause substantial prison terms or fines for minor offenses. In some states, laws are even more serious than they are in others. For those who live in states like this one – including California and other major metropolitan states – the risk of being arrested will greatly surprised if you are in possession of illegal drugs.

What Drugs Are Considered Illegal?

The list of illegal drugs is long and includes some items that might not initially seem illegal, or that might be legal for medicinal use. The primary substances that you can be arrested for carrying include hard drugs like Cocaine and Heroin. There are many derivatives of this category, but generally speaking they will all result in similar potential sentences.

Other drugs that straddle a slightly different line include Marijuana, which has started to become legal in some states that allow it for medicinal use. However, if you do not have a prescription, the drug is not considered legal in these states, and even then, there are some lines between what is allowed and what is not.

Other drugs that can result in arrest include certain chemicals that might be used for manufacturing – like the pseudoephedrine or ephedrine found in over the counter products like nasal decongestants. Prescription drugs can also be a problem if you are found to be trafficking or carrying large amounts of them without a prescription.

The Results of a Conviction

What happens to convicted drug offenders will depend on the state in which they are arrested and, in many cases, whether they have any priors related to the case. Multiple drug convictions in a state like California can result in a substantial sentence, even for minor offenses.

Dependent persons are more susceptible to various physical and mental disorders that are associated with toxic side effects of drugs and addiction. Overall, the results of drug abuse and / or drug abuse in several strange behaviors that disturb the relationship between the individual and the family members, colleagues and society. The three common consequences of addiction are increasingly addicted to drugs until it becomes fatal, caught in the act of drug abuse and go to jail and, finally, to get proper treatment.

In general, efforts addicts to quit by themselves are not sustainable. While treatment of addiction is not so simple, a person can fully recover from addiction. The main goal of treatment is to help the addict to quit compulsive drug research and follow a lifestyle without drugs. It also focuses on improving communication, family dynamics and development of social behavior of the individual in order to interact with people. The treatment approach begins with the identification of biological and environmental factors that contribute to disease development.

Drug addiction is a chronic disorder and cannot be treated within a short duration. It requires a long-term care and regular monitoring. The best treatment programs encompass a combination of medications, counseling and therapies. Management of withdrawal symptoms by using medications is the first step to treat drug addiction. Some common medications include antidepressants, antianxiety substances and mood stabilizers. These medications help to retain the normal function of the brain and prevent relapse and drug cravings during the treatment procedure.

In addition, motivational and behavioral therapies are the base for the treatment of drug addiction and/or substance abuse. These therapies are delivered by the professional counselors who motivate the drug addicts and bring long-term growth opportunities. The counselors may provide strategies to adopt a healthy lifestyle, avoid drugs, prevent relapse and the ways on how to cope with drug cravings. They also make the drug addicts aware about their responsibilities and support them to live an optimistic life.

The treatment of drug addition may vary depending upon the type of drugs (nicotine, alcohol, morphine, etc), severity of the condition, patient’s needs and previous treatment approaches (if any). As per the personal needs of an individual, the physician may prescribe certain doses of these medications. According to the researches, both individual and group therapies are effective in treating drug addiction. Such therapies along with the medical treatments are offered in drug rehabilitation centers. Another necessary aspect for the recovery of an addicted individual is an active involvement of the family members.
